WHO IS MLPORA?
MLPORA (Muckleneuk Lukasrand Property Owners and Residents’ Association) is an active community association managed by volunteers serving as an Exco Committee. MLPORA acts as an umbrella body for the precinct and has a mandate to engage with City of Tshwane. All residents are required to register by completing a Resident Form. There is a yearly voluntary contribution as well as ad-hoc fund raising initiatives during the year.
HOW DOES MLPORA COMMUNICATE?
We belief strongly in effective communication about matters of the community and know who your neighbour is through our telegram groups, connect your neighbour street groups and email. To join these groups, you are required to complete the Resident Form whereafter you will be connected to the groups.
IMPORTANCE OF TOWN PLANNING
Our area is rich in heritage and to preserve this legacy, we take care of our town planning and take illegal land use very serious. We have wonderful green spaces like the nature reserve park, Kruinpark, which has great walking trails and working parties as well as a beautiful picnic spot at The Commons with the greatest view.
Between the Leaves
With so many green spaces in our neighbourhood, we have the privilege of having a variety of wildlife. It is our responsibility to look after these spaces and ensure that the wildlife is protected and the horticulture is looked after. Every wednesday we have a team of volunteers that does maintenance cleaning and gardening to our public spaces and sidewalks. Please assist by providing a helping hand or contribute a financial contribution to this cause.

REFUSE COLLECTION & RECYCLING
Refuse collection is on Wednesdays. We have some recycling companies that we can suggest to do our part for the environment. We suggest that you mark your bin with our custom designed bin stickers and drill holes in your bin for extra safety. Should your bin get stolen, you can get all the documents and process to get a new bin.
