The Muckleneuk Lukasrand Property Owners and Residents Association (MLPORA) aims to protect the interest of all owners and residents of fixed property of the suburbs of Muckleneuk and Lukasrand and is a registered association with OPERRA (Old Pretoria East Residents' and Ratepayers' Alliance).
​
The work of the Association is managed by an executive committee who are elected by the residents at an Annual General Meeting (AGM). The Executive Committee consists of willing and enthusiastic people with knowledge and professional competence in various fields. The association is an umbrella body to the precinct and the executive committee act as representatives of the community of various statutory bodies within the city structures. The Association is not aligned to any particular political party. The position is guaranteed by the Constitution of the Association.

Mission
​
MLPORA represents the common interests of the residents and stakeholders of Muckleneuk and Lukasrand. The Association promotes a well-functioning, safe and secure, caring and inclusive, and engaged residential neighbourhood

What are our objectives?
​
We would like to preserve and foster a:
​
maintaining our community as a prime residential neighbourhood with Tshwane through ensuring compliance with townplanning and land use by-laws, developing a coherent precinct plan for the neighbourhood, preserving our built environment and natural heritage and ensuring attractive and actively used public open spaces. In pursuance of all the outcomes, ensuring that there is regular, open communication with residents, and residents are encouraged to get involved.

ensuring that the provision of basic services by the City of Tshwane meets acceptable standards, promotion of recycling, improved traffic and transport planning

promoting and enabling a neighbourhood that takes care of its residents and people within the wider community

in close corporation with Muckleneuk Hill Security Initiative (MHSI) ensuring an integrated and coordinated approach to reduce crime and promote safety in our community​​

Executive Committee
​
The work of the association is managed by an executive committee consisting of four Executives and Portfolio Managers who are elected by the residents at an Annual General Meeting. The committee consists of willing and enthusiastic people with knowledge and professional competence in various fields. They act as representatives of the community of various statutory bodies within the city structures. The executive committee is supported by portfolio managers who has sub-committees. These portfolio managers are responsible for their own portfolio assisted by volunteers from the community. The association is not aligned to any particular political party. The position is guaranteed by the association's constitution.
